k300i - will it work in america?

I have no idea if it will or not?

Does tri-band mean it works in america? the sony erricson website says this:

whereas some unknown site says it does work:

can anyone give me a definitive answer please?

It will work in the US.

GSM bands 1900/1700/850 are the bands to look for

UK uses 1800/900/2100 (for the picky)
