Well after searching most of the surrey for the foam bottle, as i wasnt going to pay £45, i finally found one in Hellfrauds in bmouth! and for £14.99 its much better!
so i thought i would give the whole detailing thing a bash at the weekend...and then i saw the weather forecast! ouch!!
Im sure there will be a dry day in future...

Is that the proper karcher one with the tiny yellow bottle?
If so be prepared to fill it a few times while foaming the car as i think they only hold 250ml but could be wrong

Yeah its the real deal...and your right its small but its £30 cheaper than buyig the bigger one which is 10l of foam...im a patient kinda guy so should be alright. Just ordered the foam so should all come together...and the car is slightly dirty as the m3 and m27 really do kick up some crap!

I'm afraid that I've heard that these foam lances are kinda rubbish. I think it's you get what you pay for, and the ones for 40 or 50 quid are much better. I'm certainly very happy with my autobrite lance at 48 quid

well i only bought it after reading a massive thread on a detailing forum using one of these and the outcome looked exactly the some as the more expensive one. time will tell...

Ive used both and to be fair you can get reasonably good result with the Karcher, the trouble is once you use the more expensive ones you do notice a big difference. Not everyone wants to pay a fortune for detailing stuff anyway so you go out and enjoy

We have snow !! predicted this weekend last time i looked

I was! But that was because it didn't fit, and I still think for what it is its a rip off, materials wouldn't cost any more than £5-10 I imagine, no patented parts as far as I can see and only a bit of assembly I imagine. I didn't dare tell my mum how much it actually cost she would have killed me as I'm skint at the moment, but hoping to do a few cars over Easter to justify it.

So, any SE members who want a detail PM me hehe...

Well just to prove that the Karcher lance does work, here we go. Not the best pictures as it was done in a rush before it was about to rain and it was the first time working out measurements...but it did the job...for £15!
