Keep the 1.2 or not??

Maybe it is the wheels adele coz i felt a difference when i put 16's on not much tho!! i'm not after speed at the min tho so dunt bother me

I'd personally stick with the 1.2 for a year or so, enjoy driving that and gaining driving experience then go for something more powerful.

I passed my test and had a 1.2 Clio (L reg) as my first car, then went for another Clio 1.2 (X reg) about a year and a half later. I'd been driving 4 years (was 21) when I went for my Clio 172. That suited me fine as I always liked the efficiency and low cost of the 1.2 at the time. :D :D

I dont wana go stupid fast I just want it to have bit more off the mark! I supose I should keep it a little longer!

Sony Xplod 1200w Sub and XS AMP, with all Shark wiring and fuses etc.

Made box my self and covered in leather effect stuff, has red neons at side of AMP.

i have some vibe 13cm speakers that you can have nice and cheap if you wanted, excellent speakers, good upgrade for front doors, iv stripped my interior so no need for them for me now

having owned a 950cc, a 1.2 16v, and then a 1.2 16v before moving onwards for a 172 i dont see any problem in modifying a 1.2

stick with subtle mods (exterior) along with a nice exhaust and some coilovers and you'll be absolutely sorted. loads of people say its a waste of money, but ive found from splitting some of my car and then keeping it in good condition that ive not lost *that* much money.

i would personally stick with 1.2 whilst you get some more driving experience (i know its boring) but i definetely feel better equipped to drive a 2.0 as i feel like a better driver after 4 years pottering around in slow cars, altho my current 1.2 handles like a b**ch :evil:

you say you want more speed off the mark, 17s will be killing your acceleration, especially off the mark.

i found mine was slightly slower off the mark with 16s than it is with 15s, but didnt bother me to much, the handling did tho! so im back to 15s

like middo says, sort the suspension and brakes and they go alright, mine gets hammered all the time, regular oil changes (done 130,000 miles now) and is VERY well run in, and mine isnt shy

at the ClioSport meets i can still read all the 172/182s reg plates unless they get a massive straight, so as long as theirs corners it goes well!

get a bit of experience as for the 1.2 get some 15s whacked on there and drop the fucker then itl be quicker where it counts.......the twistys :)

Yeah I think I am gona stick with him for a year at least, I was just been a bit greedy I think wanting everthing a bit fast :)
 
jesus thats way way way expensive!! can probably do that at half that price... ktec are an expensive company tho. best off sourcing an engine then getting someone to fit it...same with the turbo source the bits from different companies/countries.

u wont drive careful lol...
I just got a quote wi my 9 points on a 54 plate 182.... 6500 please!! ouch! does drop 30quid with adele on there tho.... :p
