Keeping Satin Black alive

Right, I have recently painted my brothers Saxo in satin black, but we are now starting to realize what a nightmare it is to keep in tip top contition.
Does anyone know of any polish, or something similar I can use to keep on top of the paint work and to perhaps remove any slight scratches or blemishes, without shinying up the finish of the car.
The paint is 2pack paint with no laquer.

I may be well wrong, but isn't it just the same as any other paint?

it will fade slightly, as there is no lacquer so the the pigment will be unprotected from the elements, depends on which kind of 2k paint you used and the quality of the product though as to how bad it will be

polishing/protecting i have no idea lol, im sure there are products out there though

Can't you use some matt laquer? I'm sure you can get a 'stone chip protector' for matt stuff too, maybe that'd work.

Trouble is the car is obviously already painted so beyond having laquer put on it. Was just hoping someone would know of a product as I don't want to try anything that might make my car look all patchy

If there is just paint, you will end up literally ripping the paint off with anything more than a very very light polish.

Would suggest SRP but would be worried about anything more than that. It would need lacquering for any serious polishing advice.

you cant get scratches out of paint as fair as i know, only time you can remove them is if there in the clear coat.

The car has been professionally repainted in 2k solid paint and all the prep was done to a very high standard so the paints on there and it won't be falling off lol My concerns don't lie with damaging the paint as it's the same finish of paint as any solid colour manufacturer painted car on the road.

My concern lies in that if i'm to "rub" the paint with any kind of polish products it will begin to make the car shiny instead of that satin finish I love so much. I was sort of hoping there would be some kind of treatment out there for matt or satin components that wouldn't leave it shiny which would also come in very handy for my old mans motorbike as it has an aweful lot of matt components out in the elements too.

It will. I've done this to my 197 . I have the black satin finish alloys. Found a blemish/scratch, so decided to attack it with some Menzerna IP by cloth. I now have part of a shiney spoke. Fail
