Key repaired but engine won't start

Any advice appreciated, I followed the guide after soldering on a new micro switch http://www.cliosport.net/threads/ho...ng-with-your-key-new-key.585981/#post-7817632 . The key opens the car fine but I can't start the engine and the immobilizer light on the dash doesn't go out.

what does the imobiliser light do?

The one on the dash flashes quickly. The one near the gear lever stays off.

ignition off, lock car, wait for ten seconds, unlock car, switch ignition on, leave for thirty seconds, ignition off, lock car, unlock car, switch ignition on and see if imob light clears.

No joy, the light still flashes.

have you checked the board for cracks/dry joints?

Yes, flashes fast. Will check the board under a magnifier tomorrow at work where I can have a good look at it.

New key time by the sounds of it.

No, I hope not. The board looks fine, no cracks or anything I can see. I put it back together and this time it works. I will cary both keys with me for a time and see what happens.
