Keyfob battery replacement

HI All,

Excuse the stupid question please but....

I have noticed that my car sometimes does not unlock in cold weather, I would assume that it is the plip battery thats on its way out. Can I replace this myself or does the key need to be coded back to the car by the dealer or anything daft like that?

Is anyone able to tell me what battery type I need?
I really appreciate your help!

Replace it yourself . Its a bit of a sod to slide the back cover off though .

The battery is a cr1220 .

And i would reccomend these people to get the battery. They are well cheap.

Hi All,
Thanks for the reply's, just a quick question... Iv'e noticed that of late my 05 182 clio doesnt always lock 1st time when I press the plip and sometimes is slow to unlock all the doors when the door is opened (I have the auto lock feature enabled) This is especialy noticeable in cold weather. I did think it was the battery in the plip thats gone but am beginning to have second thoughs, any ideas?
