Was it full Kits with all the idlers & tensioners, with a dephaser & who did it?

yeah was the full kits mate and i watched them do it all, was done by a very reputable place that everyone knows, dont really want to mention any names ect. as i dont no what the problem actually is and if its related to the belts being done .. or just something else

I`m sure if you go back, they will advise you of any problem.
Air con compressor or steering pump could be noisy.
The fact that you said them rather than him indicates to me you did not go to Long Eaton.

Phone video`s always sound awfull anyway.

If you hadn't just had the whole lot replaced I would have said Dehasper, it's still a possibility but a knackered Dephaser sounds like a Black Cab's diesel engine.

I'd take it back to the garage that did the work and see what they say, there'a a possibility that one of the parts was defective, in which case you should be able to get a partial refund or at least a replacement part for free from the supplier.

Could just be the fact that it's had a new aux belt, and the tension is a little tighter than the old belt and it's cause one of the pumps to fail as one the bearings was on it's last legs.

i dont even no where long eaton is .. but yes i am taking it back for advice from said garage but its a 100mile round trip i could do without so was seeing peoples opinons on here first as i didnt want to waste mine or his time if it wasnt related to belts

any noise is bad noise in my opinion.. the dephasers a new part i cant belive it would fail so soon?? im guessing the general consensus is something isnt right and to take it back for investigation ..

  dan's cast offs.
Hard to tell from a phone video but at first it's got the classic waterpump sound but as that's been replaced anything aux driven, easy enough to drop the belt and run it for a couple of seconds and see if it goes or have a poke and listen with a long screwdriver.
