Knocking/clunking noise

Hi,

I've tried a search but nothing really came up.

I keep having the occasional knocking noise coming from what seems to be the front drivers side. I notice it the most in stop start traffic, as I'm starting to move it makes a clunk. It's also happened I'm pretty sure when I've turned right to pull onto my driveway.

Any ideas what it could be? Starting to get on my nerves lol

I have the same I have refurbished Sachs , new ball joints and track rod ends I'm puzzled

i have a similar problem and had the usual bits checked over and nothing untoward was found so now i am going to replace the top mounts as it could be these that are causing the knock/clunk. I did a search and it seems to be a common problem so I'm gonna go for solid mounts.

Ive had a clunking knocking noise from the front right for a while now. Turns out to be the slider on the caliper knocking! Trouble is, last time I had a knocking it was tie rods. This hopefully will be the last of the knocking!

Are tie rods the same as track rods?

I believe so yes So many different names for the same part. Seriously, get your brakes checked.. might be them!

I've only recently replaced my brakes, new brembo disks and pads.

Calipers, not pads and discs.

In that case I might hold out and just replace the full front struts with different items for a kind of refresh

Unless your putting solid top mounts on I would go for genuine Renault stuff.
