Koni shocks - Help please

My recently purchased 172 Cup came with koni shocks.

Now, the lad didn't have much of a clue what was fitted, so I hope someone could tell me.

All I know is, there are 2 white plastic turnable keys in the glove box with a piece of paper pointing to the mounts in the boot and engine bay for the suspension. I assume this is to adjust the hardness of the shocks?

Does it have lowering springs on too?

Here's a picture from underneath the car, best I could get.

Any help or clues as to what's on the car would be great.

The car dosn't appear to sit lower than a normal Cup imo

The spring is to the right a black coil and they look standard to me and therfore your ride high will be the same.

Koni rear shock can be adjusted but well have to be removed in order to do so.

i thought you could adjust the rears while they were on the car?

you have koni yellows with adjustable damping, frint can be done whilst on the car.
std springs by the look of it


the koni have 3 turns from full shoft-full hard so just keep trying and see where you like them. i think a few guys in Aus that have them run them about 1-1.5 turns back from full hard if that helps.

Possibly could be Eibach pro springs aswell mate they are black also and wont lower your cup really...

they are koni lowering springs and top adj shocks. I know cos i've got them. Rears are adj under black rubber covers in the boot. Fronts under the bonnet. Your cup would be higher than that if it was standard springs

Thanks Daz. Very helpful Can I ask, how have you set your shocks? Mine currently feel great, however I've no idea obviously what they are set at.

My last track day (airfield) had them set at max hard and was very good, i usually run them 1/4 - 1/2 max (soft to hard) on the road. wind them front soft to hard and count the number of turns and work it out fom that.

Had a good look at these today, and can see that they are in fact eibach springs on the car.

What kind of lowering are these? 20mm?
