Koni/sportline combo

Still toying with this idea on the Cup. I live in the sticks, and therefore do lots of B road driving. Currently the car is on Billstein B14 Coilovers. I sometimes think these are a little harsh for me (getting old lol) and i'm thinking the Koni setup might be more suitable? Whats the ride quality like, and how many settings is there on the dampers? I want something that's nice and complient, but still gives good handling....

Speak to ^Jonff^ on here, he has this setup :)

Lol. Gaz has probably read alot of positives I've mentioned about this set up :rasp:

Ride is still pretty firm but bearable, get it on a rough road though and it soon starts to grate but even the standard Cup set up is the same. The way it handles more than makes up for it though.

You've got about 900 degrees (2 and half turns) of adjustment on them but doesn't have any definite setting. I believe coilover set ups have clicks? These don't have that and can make adjusting them abit time consuming but you do get a tool with them that allows you to get the setting you want pretty much bang on.

This will really upset you, going to test a CTR later this week (was a few years ago when i last drove one). I do like the Cup and i think the Koni/sportline set up is what i need, but i'm not sure if its the whole MK2 gruffness i've tired of.... like you, i've had a few ;) The 197 must have blunted my senses?

Another vote for Konis although am running the koni springs as well..

I live in the sticks and car gets abused by the crap roads and loves it..

Used the car on the track and with 888's as well was a unbelievably good compared to standard set up!
