L.E.D Interior Light Bulbs?

Iv been wanting to change my interior light bulb to a L.E.D white bulb but not sure on where to get 1 from any ideas peeps and anyone got any picstures with theres done.

BUT from what I remember a cups set-up is different from a normal 1*2 for the interior light (where the map light is etc)... Il be back...

Right found what I was looking for about the interior map light etc..

right fitted mine about 10 mins ago and a bit pissed about 2 things:

1. the main interior light only work either when opening the door or by reversing it you can use it as the interior light for reading maps etc - not both!! this is fecking annoying.

any ideas anyone?

I've had the same problem on my Cup, done a bit of investigating and this is what I found.

The light uses a centre positive connection, a permanent ground on one side and a switched ground on the other side. When you switch the light into different positions it reverses the polarity onto the bulb. This is no problem with the standard bulb as it will work with current flowing through it in either direction and therefore will work in both positions. However, with the LEDs it means that the light will only work either:
1. When the light switch is in the position where it is activated when the door is opened, and will not work when you try to put it in the position where it is permanently
2. When the light is in the position where it is permanently on, but will not work when the door is opened.

To rectify this you can put a second bulb in parallel with the first bulb, but with its polarity reversed. If this is done, then the light will work in both positions (one bulb for each position). Unfortunately there's no easy way of mounting a second bulb, and at the moment it looks like it will probably be wires soldered to the bulb and to the contacts in the light to make this work.

You can get them yes, although they only come in Amber or White. And the Festoon type (For the glove box) is £4.99 each! s**t a brick!

The Rear one is a "Festoon" type one and so is the Interior one. But im not 100% sure you will run into difficulties getting it too work (as per my quote above)

So for the interior light once fitted the L.E.D i can have it so when i open the doors it comes on and when i lock it, It goes out and can i have it so when im in the car and i put the light on it come son so i can see what im doin at night all i want is the glove box interior light and boot light can i not get them from ebay fr much much cheaper?

If you gimme till the end of today. Il measure mine and find out exactly what ones you need and the cheapest place to get them too. I mite be able to get them through work "El Mucho Cheapo"

Should do. They are all the same fitment. Once I have posted up the measurements of mine etc tthen if you compare your sizes to mine...If they are the same 'Jobs a Good un'
