Does anyone have an ISO link to a more recent version of this? I've only got Version 1 which doesn't work with Windows 2003 Server. Have just bought a second hand W2K3 Server at work and would like to utilise it somewhat!

It inspects windows SAM files and registrys and retrieves passwords.

Surely they removed the data before selling it to you. Best way forward is to rebuild it with a fresh operating system.

Lophtcrack isnt really what you want anyway, unless you are after other peoples passwords, if you just want to have a looksee at the data you are better off using winternals 2005 to change the admin password to whatever you want, then log onto it using that.

Well since we bought it from auction..

1. No idea on the data - not bothered either tbh
2. Don't have a W2k3 CD

Never used winternals. Lophtcrack will get the admin password from my experience and then I can log on to inspect the machine to analyse its suitability. This seems to be the same as winternals whilst being cost free...
