Test drove a 172 at the weekend, and I'm alreday to put a deposit down on it, apart from one thing that's bugging me.
When I took it out, after warming it up, I put my foot down in 2nd, but there wasn't the normal 5k kick, and it didn't seem that quick. I told the salesman (actually a good helpful chap) and he said no worries, go back to garage, drop him and the g/f off and take it out on my own and give it a go then. I did this, and it seemed quick (115 came up quite quick uphill) but still not that kick as both my 172 and 182 had.
I've read on here not all seem to have it. Only thing that bugs me is, when they got it in, they did the cambelt. Could it be timed up wrong? The plugs on the end of the cams have obviously been removed/replaced but is there anyway to tell?
Or could it just be that this one doesn't have it as much?
Ideas?
