Lacquer help

I have filled a dent in the side of my door sill, I applied the lacquer after leaving it in warm water and then shaking for 2 minutes, I decreased the surface and the lacquer has turned milky, doing my head in, it looks bobbly too but it's dead smooth, help?!

Don't think degreaser goes well with any lacquer. You shouldn't need to degrease the surface after the lacquer coat.

Oh f**k, I degreased before lacquer! I totally forgot about that, just did it without thinking! thanks mate
