yeah im a sprayer.
a lot of people think that bodywork is simple, that its just a case of putting filler in a dent, rubbing it down and painting it. job done.
to get a factory+ finish you need to do the prepwork properly.
if youre laquers peeling, then no doubt it will peel even more when they try feather it back in.
has the bonnet/roof been painted recently? is it peeling due to stone chips? pics would help.
if you just put basecoat (colour) straight onto an area thats been wetsanded back (feathered in), it will ring up. you will see the line of the old laquer in the basecoat and the line of the old basecoat in the basecoat too. needs to be primered to get it all level again
