Nippy white cup
I think they are trying with the insurance quotes. I tried to insure my track cup as a 2nd car and was told it would have to be a new policy separate from my Golf. I'm 30 this year and Nic is 28....8+ years no claims protected and 3 points each. The new policy would obviously have no no-claims and the area I live in isn't great...but they somehow plucked £4000 from somewhere! I have also heard about people not getting quoted on the Cups due to their age.

Was this in Blackburn m8. If so it was a good friend of mine that died. Had his Cup 3 days and it was one stupid manuver that cost him dearly. Could have done it 100 times and not had it happen....but it was the speeds involved and the area where it happened that was just daft.
The case was over as far as I knew...he got let off after a huge petition was set up and my friends parents had a big influence..the other lad had been my m8s friend all there lives and now he has to live with the memories for the rest of his

but tbh 3-4k does stop alot of ppl insuring these quick cars bu maybe it should be higher, or maybe make it lower for cars with 1.0 engines so they are more desirable.

I managed to get insured on my mk2 ph2 172 for £1800 fully comp which sounds a lot (well it is a lot) but I'm only 19 with no NCB. Insurance premiums are on the way up anyway apparently, and they are phasing out third party fire and theft! It's horrible when you see people wrapping themselves around a tree like that!

Thats not bad! I have 0 years no claims as I've been on my dads policy since I started driving. You getting the 182 then or just considering it? I wish I got a 182 with both cup packs. I wanted the twin exhausts and cruise control, but didn't have enough money to get one of those and insurance

i had to pay £1600 for my mk2ph2 1.2 (thats a lot of 2's) when i was 17,
to people who have money it could be whatever and people wuld still get cars, the government need to actually ban younger drivers like me. im still only 19. o well; until they do, im getting an mx 5next month
