Laguna 2.2DCI Fault Codes Help Techs!

Hi,

My dad has a 2.2 DCI Laguna II. Engine management light came on and car is in limp mode.

Error codes scanned are B0500 and P0711.

B0500 is undefined code and
P0711 is transmission Fluid Temperature Sensor Circuit Range/Performance.

Car has a manual gearbox so it doesn't have a transmission fluid temp sensor.

Anyone seen this before?
