laguna splitter

i have just got me hands on a lguna splitter.

What shall i do? either :-

1. leave it as it is, dull standard plastic and put it on

2. prime it, paint it then laquer it, so that it is colour coded with the car

3 just laguer it so it has a glossier finish

???

or any other suggestions, plz

leave it black, itll look awful if it gets chips in it!

ok cheers, ive laquered it, give it a bit of protection, plus it will fade in time
