Hi,

I've got my MOT retest on Saturday morning and out of curiosity could my K-Tec stealth cause the emissions to be read wrong? I've spoke to a few people and they seem to think it could.

Before I took the car for it's MOT it started making a weird noise, I later found out that the cat to manifold gasket had blown - which i'm hoping will have caused incorrect lamba readings.

Since the MOT i've also added some cat cleaning liquid into the fuel system. I've also been told to belt the car down the motorway to get the cat nice and warm.

If it fails again - what can I do?

Is your exhaust cat back, de-cat or sports cat?

Just a cat back system - the K-Tec stealth with the original Reno cat on.

Well took it for baz down the bypass giving it a good boot and it passed the emissions on MOT - yey.
