Yeah but come on, you cant tell me you expected it to do that.

Those gearchanges are brutal! and the noise! its like chris nolan did the exhaust.

f**k! That thing moved f**king rapidly.

A it was like 2 seconds between when he said 180 and 190. Mental.

Me four.... In real life I'd take the 997.

However the engineering and capability of the Lambo is awe inspiring.

They have an SLS in Bluewater this week, have to say I find it a bit crude. Nice brakes though lol!

I'll take the SLS, purely for the retro looks and awesome soundtrack.

Just in case the Autocar video ran slow like it did on mine.

The engineering in the Porsche wipes the floor with the lambo engineering.

Very true but it raises the standard argument that the 911 has had "x" amount of years honing blah blah blah.

I'm not even going to carry on lol. I can't deny how impressive the lambo is for me lol. I'm not so hot with the spanners so to me it's engineering.

Haha fair comment, Lamborghini have upped their game in recent year no denying it, the Aventador is starting to look like a bloody good car.

The engineering in the Porsche wipes the floor with the lambo engineering.

Does it?

Carbon-fibre monocoque (a proper one without cheating)
Pushrod suspension front and rear

That's pretty advanced stuff for a road car

Ok the gearbox is a bit on the Heath side and the 4wd system is bought in from haldex but I wouldn't say it wipes the floor in any sense.

I knew the gt2rs would spank the sls, but that lambo is unbelievable....

Any detailers see the Lambo' center console and thought "needs a good clean, look at the streak marks"

It has 4WD and considerably more power, why a surprise? I loved the lurid slides the best...

I've seen a few launches in my time, but that just impressed me. Loads more drama than a 2012 GT-R launch.

Lambo is awsome and in engineering terms i think the lambo has the edge.

First car i would order with my lotto win.It just does everything better, and that launch control is great.I would like to see a comparison between that and a veyron. Then you could say why is the veyron so expensive.

The Porsche won't break, the lambo WILL!!!

I'm sorry, but I totally disagree!

As an automotive engineer (yes, i'm using my degree here), my first impression is that the Lambo demonstrates the basic principals a lot better.
- Engine in the right place, better load transfer
- All wheel drive, better tractive effort
- Pushrod suspension (used in F1 for years), greatly reducing unsprung mass, which is the key measurable when it comes to pure grip.
