Laptop getting very hot

  Clio 197
My laptop has recently been getting very hot and the fan is louder.

Also when not plugged in the battery goes down really quickly.

If I open windows task manager on the performance tab it says memory usage is 1.83GB and the CPU usage sometimes gets to around 95% when im only on the internet. Nothing else is open.

Laptop spec is 1.8ghz dual core CPU, 4GB RAM, 320GB HDD.

It's likely a build up of installed applications running in the background, your google tools bars and what not. Either that or an over zealous antivirus.

Start > Run > MSCONFIG > Startup

Untick everything (Within Reason - Google Updater for example)

Apply > OK > Restart Machine

Open it up and clean it out, my old laptop used to get so clogged up with dust that it ran uber hot.
