laptop keeps going into sleep...

Every half an hour my laptop turns its screen off and goes into what i would think as a 'sleep' mode.

I wouldn't mind tbh but everytime i awaken it i have to manually reconnect to my broadband. that is annoying.

can i switch this function off so it stops doing it?

right click desktop then properties, go to screen saver tab, click power and change power settings as you wish.


Oh and if in future you use linux and have the same problem.

edit /etc/X11/xorg.conf and remove 'options DPMS' from the config file.
