These are currently on offer incredibly cheap if anyone needs them.

Use code "daily52" to get the pair for £12. Add some air fresheners to get to £15 and you can have same day delivery. Bargin.

When people ask about whether they're any good they should know that a vast number of manufacturer parts are not made by the manufacturer and that there are some simply mammoth OEM suppliers which some people won't have even heard of. Realistically, when you buy genuine, you nearly always buy OEM suppliers with a genuine sticker on and hence, car parts should always be searched for using part numbers. Save a packet, get the same quality :)

Taking my unreliable blue poo for example
TD03 Turbos - Mitsubishi
Rear subframe bushes - Lemforder
Rear arm bushings - Meyle
M3 control arms - TRW
Clutch - LUK
Brakes - Brembo
Driveshafts GKN
Boost solenoids - Pierburg
ABS Sensors - ATE
Xenon bulbs - Osram
Airbags - Takata

and to make you all happy, a Clio.
Cup bias valve, MAP sensor, ABS sensors - Bosch
Clutch, climate control, squib - Valeo
UCH/ECU - Sagem
Pistons - Kolbenschmidt
Injectors - Magnetti Morelli/Delphi
finally...ball joints....Lemforder.

Thanks, I’m well aware that OEM parts aren’t always made directly by the manufacturer of the car.

The reason I asked is that sometimes you can get a “pattern” part (for want of a better phrase) that isn’t a good replacement whereas in this case, a Lemforder ball joint is a part fellow forum members have tried and tested.

Lemforder and Meyle HD are probably the best “pattern parts” you’ll buy Darren. 🙂👍🏼

Sorry Darren I didn't write the above as a moan, no key board worrier here! I am often pretty astounded when I see garages say "we only fit genuine parts", shows a level of naivety in my eyes.

Pattern parts could indeed be poorer quality but wouldn't be OEM as they aren't made by the OEM supplier and instead they would be aftermarket or potentially marketed as OEM quality. You can look for manufacturers which conform to the latest ISO 9001 standard when establishing whether a manufacturer is producing good quality parts.
