Lies or holes??

quick question,

i own a 1.2 8v ph1,

as anyone who has followed me project thread will know i didnt have any door strips due to a painting fail on my part,

so i went to the scrappy today and piced up some ph2 door strips,
and believe it or not, i could only find 16v bullets to go on them,

paid £10 for the lot which i was well chuffed with, but and i commiting a cliosport crime by mis-representing my car?? or do i get let off because ill get some 1.2 ones on first opertunity??

Just get them on matey. Nobody will care, its not like your badging it up as a 2.0 16v.

BTW are they hard to get off and on as I want some ph2 ones on my ph1.

You could just sand off the 16V bit, then repaint it, just have plain bullets for the time being.

i read sum1s thread about trying to sand them off once,
it took them 2 hours to do the 1, ill give that one a miss lol,

whats the age of your car,
because the changed the design of the door strips mid way thru producing the ph1,

so youve got the old quatre pannels and doors, they wont fit,

but if its made late enough, its a straight swap.

this it has to be x reg at least.

he should be able to tell you for cert,

OR you cud pop off the gromit inside the door, (below the catch) and have a look how they fit on.

if it looks like it slides towards the back of the car to come off, then ph2s will fit,

might be quite had to tell,

the older ph1s just popped into clips already in the door,

if you have these, then youll have to mod the quatre pannel and door to fit them.

belt sander? saw? i sanded down the side strips on my first car to get rif of orange peel effect. That took me about 4 hours in all using 200 grit.
