Lightening Clio Cup

Stripped out my rear seats , boot carpet and shelf so i could mount my harnesses yesturday.

Does anybody know how to strip out the front and rear seat belts.

What coil overs do you recommend as the back of the car know looks like its on axle stands.

Cheers

Whats it like without the rear seats? Can you weigh them to see the difference? Wondering if the rear will be a bit too light as youre making it even more front biased.

yep empty all the fluids including washer fluid, brake fluid and not to mention engine oil. Your CUP will be literally as light as, a Cup!

in the 172 it amounts to aroung 20kg if u remove parcel shelf and rear seats.

I have removed the rears, spare and parcel shelf and feel a big difference.

Hence why i asked the question Ben.

Car feels much quicker know but the arse does tend to come round easyer.

I must of lost 20-25Kgs or even more. Got to take out all my power cables and RCA cables yet. Must be under the 1000kg mark by now. I will weight the car when i have got all the bits out on my mates weighbridge.

Should get a polished S/S rollcage later this summer as well.

As my Renault Dealers said. "You are tapped in the head mate. You buy these new cars from us and when you get bored it comes back to us looking like a concept car"

I think coilovers, exhauts and unichip are next on my shopping list.

If youre after a racer put the 16s on and leave the suspension. Dastek seems good though, especially teamed up with some TBs me thinks!
