lighter and ashtray

guys, does the clio have a light in the ashtray and around the lighter? Im sure it used to be lit up, but last night it wasnt. Blown fuse or summit...any ideas?

yeah it does. u shud check if the cig lighter works. as its either bulb or fuse

cheers david, well i checked the lighter and that works, but not the light around it or the one in the ashtray - guess that leaves the bulb as the culprit. Is it easy to locate? (i seem to remember dash bulbs are one of those nightmare jobs...)

You should find that the entire lighter unit will pull out without much trouble - mine does it all the time even when I dont want it to

Took a look tonight, there is one bulb that is fixed to the side of the lighter that lights up both the lighter and the ashtray. Looks like the bulb is contained in a grey plastic holder that appears to clip into place.

my lighter doesnt work ne n doesnt seem to come out ne help on how to take it out please

Just take the whole central console out, 4 torx screws, 2 at back, 2 at front and the whoel thing lifts out.
