Lights in 182 doors..

Was flicking through my manual in the clio...(a first for me) and couldnt help notice that in the diagrams for the interior car lights, it explains how to change the wee light in the front doors above the speakers.

Think its called a puddle light or sumfn..?

Anyway, I drive a 182, and WHY HAVENT I GOT THESE LIGHTS...I WANT THEM..! WOT IF IVE DROPPED MY FONE IN MY FOOTWELL?? OR WOT IF I NEED TO LIGHT UP MY FEET..??

Ive looked and ive got the wee space where they have ment to be but THEY ARE NOT THEIR..? Same as in my Authentique. BLANK



DOES ANYONE HAVE THESE?? Wot spec cars have them, is it just the top spec..? I thought my182 was good.??

Not fitted to the 182..the manual covers a whole range of models and for some reason they are not fitted to this model

No idea why they would be in the latest manual unless they are fitted to lower range models to make up for the lack of other equipment

Is it just imports from "LE CONTINENT"

Youd think they could have put them in a V6 at least..? OR MY 182..?

probably in the initiale or whatever they call the top of the range these days (excluding the renaultsport models)

Dont try Parks Renault in EK mate, my GF bought a 04 plate dynamique from and it didnt even have a glove box light (not that its that big a deal, but it states in their book that tells you about the "key" features of the car, so if it says you get it you expect it), so she took it into them, they said theyd contact Renault UK and theyd be in touch within a week, a week past no phone call so she phoned them and she was told very rudely down the phone that she was all wrong, and it wasnt part of the standard equipment anymore? I have a Oct 03 regd 53 plate dynamique and it has a glove box light? Why change these things in the space of what 6/7months?

Thats when you know your car is crap, when their are spaces where things have ment to be, but they are blocked up or have fake buttons...

Renault changed the spec to remove the light then reinstated it. This is Renault for you.

they are from the initiale spec clios

Is that the top of the range (interior) spec?

initiale is the "luxury" spec so they come with door lights etc, cant think of any other differences though, dont think they have anything extra to the 182.

my dynamique had door reflectors on the inside of the door but my 182 doesnt, nor does my 182 have a symbol on the bonnet release my dynamique had.

Surely an easy retro fit. Although the initiale s speaker grills are proberbly light grey.

16v clio - I had an 03 Dynamique, and it had a glovebox light, and got an 04 one now - and just been out to check, and sure enough - no glove box light I know its taken a couple of mths to notice, but its the darker half of the yr (winter etc) u notice, and its annoyed me now its not there!!!!

my mates 53 plate 172 registered in dec hasnt got an air cooled glove box, but my 04 plate 182 registerd in april has. even the dci clio at work has got it. hes well gutted!!!
