Limiter in 5th????

Nope... Couldn't even tell you what speed it would be at. You'd run out of road/runway trying as above 130mph, they don't pull very strong at all.

lol sure did was around 147mph on dials no idea what that was real speed, that was a ph2, ph1 is geared to long and has a raised limiter so wont do it unless i get more power lol

I did 160mph whilst racing a corsa in a 30 zone outside a school.

I would imagine someone has "topped out" (F&F YO) on the autobahn on a 'ring trip. Book speed is 139 I think but no idea if that's at the limiter or just where lack of power and aerodynamics play a factor?

No because it's not possible unless you have a twenty mile downhill runway and a strong tail wind. The cold limiter, yes. Hot limiter, no.

well on private road ;) iv had my cup at 140 then the gear change light comes on but its still short of the 7k rev limiter

4 got to add completely standard

Id imagine an engine would be rather hot after climbing through the gears to 140+, I'd also imagine you would struggle to reach those speeds if the engine isnt up to temp with the lower rev limiter?

was deffinately up 2 temp as it was during a 250mile trip and id completed about 130of them.. even got a very short clip as at that speeds you dont wanna take your eyes or hands off the wheel ha

Nah. I hit the cold limiter in mine in 5th more than thrice. It wasn't 'those speeds', because the limit is lower. Duh.

i go up the m27 ever day and sundays are the best at about 8.40am i can only give 140 out of my PH2 172 (all standed)

I had a go once and it took waaaay too long - The williams used to get there really quickly!

On the airfield at work I had 144 out of mine a few weeks and on gps, and it refused to budge, still 800 odd rpm left to go too.

I had the shift light come on in 5th on my old 172 whilst having a blat against a 320 clk

limit.webp bit blury i know but im sure you can work it out.. as said on a private road
