Local settings on laptop help

I have a laptop which is on the domain, usually with 2000 and xp when you log on as a user with the laptop plugged into the network it remembers the settings for when the laptop is offline and allows the user to log on locally using the same username password etc

I have 10 new staff laptops and 9 of them work with this method although 1 of the laptops is being a c**t and wont logon locally anyone got any ideas why?

I think it might be service pack 2 on xp which it doesnt work on

nope it works fine on sp2

i have never had anything like that on any of the pc's i hav eever built/rebuilt

Does it say u cannot log on because the domain is unavaliable? Think this is usually due to a policy setting (allow logon locally) but its usually set at the domain (correct me if im wrong) therefore would affect all the computers. Could try removing and re adding it to the domain.
