Hi all, I'm looking to change the gearbox oil on my Clio campus with the 8 valve engine. I've had a look under the car but I can't find the drain plug for it, can anyone confirm this for me, thanks.
I've attached a few photos of where I think it is located but again can those in the know just confirm these photos for me, I'm not a car mechanic and new to car maintenance, cheers.
I believe the drain plug is under the plastic cover which is shown in the first photo I have uploaded (ends in 843 jpg). Also, can anyone tell me what the bolt head type is that holds this cover on, I think it may be a Torx socket that would fit it but I just didn't want to round it off by using a hex socket, (this is the photo that ends in 125jpg)
This is all on the passenger side of the car more or less under the battery/ gearbox if you look at it under the bonnet.
I have a photo of what I think is the level fill cap for the gearbox oil (photo ends in 535jpg), does this look correct to you guys?
The gearbox oil is Tranself SAE 75W, which I think has replaced Tranself NFP 75W-80 and Tranself NFJ 75W-80, the last photo.
Does this all look ok to those with better knowledge?
Thanks
