Locking Nut Key

  CLIOpatra, L22EE W™
I bought my Clio back in March from a guy. He had to sell it cuz he got banned from driving. I noticed that the locking nut key was not anywhere to be seen in the car. I emailed him and he said that I need to call Reno and they will sort it out for me. Called em a few months ago and told them the story. They told me that they could drill the locking nuts off, put new ones on, etc... but I guess that will cost a bomb.

Is there anyway I can buy the locking nut key, if I give Reno the code I got in my paperwork? Also, any idea on a price for the key?

  A well built VW
get an old socket and hammer it onto the locking nut and turn should come off easily failing that a good drill and bit should get them off in an afternoon

i think you should go to another Renault garage and say you have a code for your locking wheel nuts. And see if they can order you another one because i think that garage is try to make you spend money that is unnecessary .Im sure i have seen a post on renaultsport.com where this has been done Renault must account for this they should have the code on the database with your number plate and key code on not sure how much it will be but it should be less than drilling four nuts off and buying another set will try to find the post now hope this helps

Think this might help

Unfortunately replacement keys have to be ordered directly from the supplier for security reasons but it definitely shouldn't take as long as 10 weeks to come through. If you don't have any joy with Renault Manchester - mail me your contact details at renaultsport@renault.co.uk and we'll see whether we can sort it out for you.

As The Big Yin said mate, jus whack a socket onto them, take them off, buy 'Mc Guard' ones from halfords which are far better than the reno ones, job done.
