Look at my ring...ABS ring that is

  Iceburg 172FF
Been having the usual problem ever since I have got the car. Usual feedback through the pedal, feeling like the brakes are skipping when braking from slowish speeds to a standstill. Just been under the car and taken a picture of what I *think* is my ABS ring, the passenger side one looks fine but driverside is split or cracked. I apologise for the bad picture and can get a better one if necessary but can someone confirm this is an ABS ring and that indeed is cracked so i can phone arnold shark and tell them they are fixing it on monday!

arnold shark will be paying as I have take it back 4 or 5 times for them not to find anything wrong with it. Bit preplexing that me, who doesnt know a bolt from a screw can find the damn problem but trained mechanics cant....

yeh thats the ABS ring and it doesnt look in good condition! if that side is that bad it might be worth changing the other side aswell as that will probably be in the same kind of condition

Yeah that is the ring and it is snapped, theres also a lot of gunk around it, has the gaitor split on the driveshaft?? If the gaitor has been leaking grease and gunked up the ring and abs sensor that can cause you problems too.

^^ As Fred mentioned don't buy a whole new driveshaft, you can pick up and ABS ring for sub £10. Renault will tell you they don't sell them and you'll have to buy a new driveshaft, try a few dealers and you'll get one.
