Car  172 exclusive no 172
Just thought i would go through the car and have a look around it, i bought my 2000 exclusive in AUg 12, didnt think of checking the spare.... well today had a look and the car is living up to its low mileage,

There is a brand new unused tool kit and a matching rim brand new and never used with a michalin pilot :)

Would it be ok to use the tyre after 13 years? as there is no sign of perishing?

No! A tyres normal life is 5 years, that tyre will be well it - I'd never let a tyre that old anywhere near my car

I'd slap it on tbh! If there's no sign of it persishing then why the hell not :).

ahhh ok, i was just checking it, but i suppose i better get it changed the next time i need tyres, at least the rim is mint :)

My mum had one on her Toyota 4x4 land cruiser that lasted 12 years, same tyre from when she bought it, it eventually got changed along with the others due to punctures. The tyre itself was perfectly fine, the 4x4 was only used back and forward to work about 3 miles a day. It did get tyre gel on every wash, don't know if that helped of not though...
