Lookin for an alarm for my DCI, any recomendations?

I've got that Cobra one, chose that one because it works off the standard plip key as I didn't want another remote. Cost me £60 and fitted it myself, added a few extras like glass break and level reference to it because i'm a gadget *****.
Thats still the safest option though. Not too sure an alarm is too much of a deterrant when its just smash and grab, still makes a cool beep when I lock the car so it was worth it for that alone.

Well it would have cost £250 fitted so I saved myself £190, its pretty simple in comparison to the Cliffords you can get etc. The only trouble is the more complicated they get the more they need to be pro fitted and fitted well.

No, to have any install done properly they must be authorised fitters who will give you a certificate.

I just want something thats got an actual alarm that will go off if my window is broken thru!
Give me a bit more of a chance for someone to see it + will give him less time to pull it out and scrummage my car!

Would of saved me about £20 I think, so wasn't going to be paying £250. Wanted an alarm far more than a CAT1 certificate.
Wasn't anything special or difficult, just a matter of finding the wires and splicing the alarm loom onto them. Hardest part was finding the wires/connectors in the first place, that and I have to find out which colour was which wire for the alarm loom.
I've got all the documentation I found and used for mine somewhere i'll dig it out if you want, i'd never even thought about an alarm before I put mine in let alone installed one.
Was a learning curve but could put one in much quicker now i've done it once, wasn't anything difficult.

Hmmm its all being done by mechanic or somethin hopefully,
Just spend 1500+ on new engine and bits for it so cant fiddle with any of the stuff inside it!
Yeh but remember, just because your a mechanic doesn't mean you can fit an alarm.
