Make sure that its definitely from Europe ( and not Cyprus for example )so that it qualifies for the warranty.

Yep, check the speedo, that its alarmed (bea nightmare to inusre otherwise). Listen for rattley/tinney sounding exhaust. AFter that just normal type stuff...

Check it has a mutha of a 2.0L engine in it as well

Check for english manuals , multichanger under passenger seat & if its had an alarm fitted.Had a laserline put on my dutch import for £250.

Be careful of where it comes from as I think Belgium ones are restricted to 16?bhp. If you go somewhere like Motorpoint you can see the one you are buying before you lay any money out.

well it has a 6 disc changer, 17" alloys, dirty great 2 litre engine under the bonnet

where is the shift light located ?? and can it be turned off ??? i dont think its bad 12000 miles £10490 it was part exd for a golf R32

In the Glasses giude a 02 172 with 11000 miles on it should go for a top book of 12,300. How do I know, becuase the nice Sucaru salesman showed me today while looking at my car with a view to buying a new WRX, ooo nice!! Of course thats a UK car!
