Looking at getting a catch tank breather made, how big etc?

I'm getting a straight through silicone inlet elbow made up for my mk2 172 without a plug for the crank case breather.
I have 2 choices with the breather pipe. I can run a length of pipe along the underside of the car and vent it to the atmosphere. (Plan B)
Get a friend of my brothers to knock a catch tank. Just thinking about sizes and shapes of it and where I could fit it. Any ideas?
Or could I make one myself?
I have used a Coke bottle before LOL.

I'll see what sort of prices they are.
Just need to know what sort of design I should ask him to look at as it will need to have a screw cap.
What sort of diameter is the crankcase breather?

Am I right in thinking that if I fitted a small filter to the breather, it would clog very quickly and eventually blow off due to pressure build up?

nope, The breather area on the F4R is teeny weeny and imo undersized, so it wont blow off, it has a good baffle in the cam cover aswell.

I'd rather vent it under the car tbh.

Cracking, a long length of pipe I think it will be then. Probably just leave the end of the pipe open and angle it towards the road. No need for a filter or anything then.
I'll have a look at the Spec-R jobbies though Nick. I've been offered a custom 1 litre for £55 though so that may be an option.
