Looking for a HU

Hi i am new to the site and am looking for a little help.

I am after a headunit that i can connect my Iriver H10 to, all the units i have looked at all seem to be for ipod only, (should have bought an ipod or not)lol. Also looked for ones with a usb port for direct connection but cant really seem to find anything. Can anyone give me some advice please, Was wanting the alpine 9855r but of course ipod only!!! Obviously a nice little pay off from apple eh! budget is £200 to £400 might be willing to increase for right headunit.

I dont think any HU witha USB port exists AFAIK.

Maybe somone does an adapter so you can use an ipod socket?

i dont think youll ever find a HU that will control the iRiver as such, but you can get alot of HUs that have an aux in, that way you just run a 3.5mm stereo jack from the iRiver to the 2 photo plugs on the back of the HU.

never heard of a hu with a usb. and the alpine with ipod connection is pricey. So if there is one i would imagine it would be well over the 400 pound mark

mole so do you think i would be able to do this with the Alpine 9855R really want this head unit and is it easy enough to do this?

I have found one or 2 that does usb connections but there cheap and nasty lol

the 9855r headunit will allow you to connect the Iriver via a set of phono leads. Its very easy to do, although I beleive u have to buy the Aux in adapter seperatley to the headunit unlike with most other head units.

Right cheers guys i will go get that headunit ordered if no one has anymore ideas think is £300 anyone know where to get it cheaper? not ebay tho., so what i need is the 9855r headunit(good place to start) aux adapter, should i bother with stock adapter?

just noticed there is a 9853r whats the difference anyone know?
