I recently acquired what I think must be one of the Smartest Mk I Clio 1.9 diesels on the road. Not everyone's cup of tea obviously! But in dark metallic green, no rust and RT spec, I quite like it (and over 50mpg!).
Trouble is it has burst a cooling hose on the M11 last week, a thing like an octopus with six legs (sextopus?). Renault UK say the part is no longer available. So what can I do? If I bodge it up RAC will be grumpy about coming out a second time if the bodge fails. Does anyone know of anyone with new old stock who might stock a rare part like this? There weren't many of those early diesels made in RHD.
