Loose gearstick

Started a few months ago, at the same time i had these symptoms.

Stick seems loose, sometimes when i change gear it feels like its not actually moving anything i cant explain it any better
And it struggles to go into reverse first time have to play with the stick abit (not in a sexual way) before it moves into gear.

Any ideas?

You need to get under the car and have a look at the linkage. Get someone to move the stick about and take a look at whats happening at the gearbox end

Clio box requires sexual stick play - borderline rapey, sounds like you're doing it wrong.

Failing that is the small white bush inside the gearbox casing worn? If you replace it make sure you relocate the cir-clip properly.
