Loose wheels maybe

Quick question about alloys, I know your not supposed to paint the inside face which faces the hub of an alloy wheel but what about shot blasting it? If that face has been blasted will the wheel come loose? And if it has been blasted and you can't paint it how do you protect it?

i wouldnt worry about it painted or not. some cars are even supposed to have the hub faces (where they meet thye wheel) copper slipped

if you want to, just make sure the nuts are nice and tight

Dont paint the hub/wheel mating face or inside the bolt holes.

it'll be fine, the wheel specialist powdercoat the entire wheel, never had an issue

It's too late now tho, I didn't want to risk it so I taped them up, AFTER he painted them he told me ge usually paints the lot :/
