K20 EG Hatch
Long story but thought ppl on here would be interested.
Basically my 182 has been perfect other than it had a water leak into the cabin. I rang up renault wolverhampton as this is where i have always taken it and NEVER has any problems with them. They told me it is classed as a body shop repair so has to goto renault wednesbury.
Four days later and many phone calls i goto pick it up (wolverhampton have never kept any of my cars for longer than four hours). They told me it had leaked from under the dash and from the sill but they have fixed both and it will now be fine. Got in the car and noticed the gear shift gaitor was ripped and the toxic warning light was on. Went straight back in, they have said they will order me a new gaitor in and the light will go off after a few days which it did.
Now since i have had it back it keeps misfiring, running on three cylinders and i look a right t**t when it breaks down! There is always loads of unburnt fuel in the exhaust and the car smells of egg from outside! The AA come out to it and messed with some wiring on the drivers side of the engine and said they think thats the fault. Taped it to stop it moving so much and this fixed it (for about an hour lol).
Also i have noticed that the plastic trim that is under where the wipers bolt to has not been fitted properly or so i dont think.
Just gutted because i never had any engine problems with the car, its always been brilliant untill renault wednesbury have it in!
Im gonna have monday off work and take it over to renault wolverhampton (if i make it) and explain everything and hopefully they will fix it.
Any idea what the problem could be? AA said it could be coil packs but i have not had any engine management lights on. Just the traction control light flashes when it is doing the fault. The car sounds like a scooby when its running on 2/3 cylinders!
