Losing petrol

Last night had 116 miles worth of petrol in my car however tonight when driving home the petrol light come on checked the trip and it says i only have 36 miles woth of petrol left in the car.

Last nights journey and todays journey didnt add up to 80 miles so im thinking im losing petrol how do i go about looking into this, what would renault charge to sort this problem out if there is a problem

Why don't you take a couple of Jerry cans with you, and see if it does run out of petrol in 36 miles time?

Cold weather burns quite a bit more fuel than normal. I know my (old fashioned) gauge has been going down quicker.

Only "sensible" answer I could think of...
