Low revs and cutting out.

  Clio 182 - RB
Hi all, just bought my 2nd Clio witch is a 1.6 16v on an 03 plate, i use to have a 1.2 16v on an 02 plate but unfortunately as i left my car over night where i usually park it on the end of the drive some T*AT drove in to it leave all the rear quarter panel caved in, luckily a few days after the person who did it knocked on my door and said it was him, after going through his insurance they classed it as a write off, few days after that the insurance paid out! So i jumped from a 1.2 to a 1.6, i did want a 172 but can't justify the insurance at the age of 20 -.-

Anyways... Got a new Clio other week and the person i got it off said it needed a new MAF sensor witch i bought for £35 at the local garage, the problem i had with the Clio is that the revs would be very low on tick-over and if i revved the engine a few times it would cut off, stopping at traffic lights, junctions and what have you it would cut out and its a right ball ache specially when you're stuck in traffic.. So been reading up online for past few days and people suggest cleaning the throttle body may work? Taken it to the garage this morning to have this done along with a full service, would have done it my self but been busy at work all day and at weekends saving up due to baby on way i just don't have the time to do it my self If this fails what would you suggest my next step is?
