Lower part of rear bumper split!

indicated and pulled over for an ambulance this morning and some fool shunted the back of my car. It's not anything really serious as it just split the bumper, i think the guy must have applied his brakes and skidded on the road.
Anyway anyone know if it can be repaired easily?? I read somewhere that body shops can 'plastic weld' now and pretty much get the bumper looking back to new.
I didn't bother with insurance because a) i'm TPFT and b) it probably wouldnt have been over the excess anyway for the repair!
We both decided not to bother, i think the guy just had a bit of split plastic on his number plate surround.. lol
If I cannot fix this myself anyone know any reasonably priced body repairers in the east midlands area??

Update - Facelifts in Burton have quoted me £160 to plastic weld it and respray. Suppose I can't grumble at that??

Thats a pretty good price IMO.....personally id be getting that duffus to pay who hit you....

You can usually pick up a cheap bumper on here to be honest, just depends if one pops up in your colour otherwise you have to add the cost of spraying.

I think they normally go for less than £100

I saw one on ebay that was listed as 172 cup bumper but quite clearly it is for a 182 as it has the twin centre exit cut outs, which is annoying. I haven`t managed to find a 172 Cup rear bumper yet in the blue....Unless anyone on here has one for sale??

Ok update. I've acquired a silver 172 bumper from Just Renault. Scuffed as you would expect. I wanted opinions on the price I've been quoted to have it re-sprayed. I'm using a company in Swadlincote, they have quoted me £200, thats to prepare it, respray and oven bake. Is that price ok??
