Lowering 60mm on old shocks

I was just wondering if I were to lower my car by 60mm whether I would need to change the shock absorbers? Seen a few people say you must and others say it doesn't make any difference. My car is a 52 plate Clio with original shocks on it. Thanks

Change the shocks mate. If they are original they will need changing
