Lowering, but keeping the softness...

Ok I'm finally coming round to lowering my car... I cant put it off forever!

I don't think coil overs will be an option as they're too expensive for me atm and the ones on my 1.2 made the car very stiff. It will also make me want to slam the car, which I don't want to do again.

I'm thinking about just getting springs, but what are the best ones to go for that will keep the ride stiffness as close to standard?
Looking through old threads, a lot go for eibach, but what are they really like?

Sportlines are good!. Pretty much o.e feel, but will lower about 15-20mm. I like em

I thought the sport lines went about 30mm lower, whereas the pros go the 15-20mm??
Does the 15mm even make that much difference to the look? For me it's about the looks of the car, rather than handling. I don't drive the car fast so doesn't bother me too much.

i think they give a nice drop, and still got a standard feel comfort wise, perfect imo.

If you want springs that give "the look" get some Apex but don't expect to be able to drive the car very well!

Sportlines is what I recommend if you want to be able to drive the car without breaking your back :)

for some reason, i find sportlines quite bumpy but it could probably be the bad roads around my area

Yup, I've heard nothing but bad things about apex springs, probably why they seem to be cheaper than eibach.

I think the sport lines may be the way forward as people seem to be saying that they still keep close to oem stiffness/softness. I don't want to have rough suspension again!! Lol
