Lowering my clio

I'm looking to lower my Clio but I have a few questions.

If I were to get the Apex lowering springs (http://www.europerformance.co.uk/pages/products/product_info.mhtml?product=555670344) that lower my car by 60mm I have read that I would have to change my shocks as putting those springs on standard shocks would be a stupid idea. I'm lost when it comes to shocks so would these be fine with the apex lowering springs:

If they are completely the wrong thing, what should I actually be looking at and what do you recommend?

Have a look at rokkor / raceland coilovers.... They're £160 and then you're free to lower as much as you wish!

Can't seem to find anywhere that sells them, I even tried eBay :/

EDIT: Actually, I have come across one on eBay, except it's all in French. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=150565949485 is that the right thing I'm looking for? Also would I need anything else or would I just whack the coilovers on (Well I wouldn't someone who knows what they are doing would)?

i have bought lowering spring for my clio 1.2 extreme and the front sits nice but the back seems to be higher how can i fix this ?

But if I were to go with lowering springs instead of coilovers could someone recommend me some shocks?

im runnin apex on my 182 with standard shoks no bother !!

Dont bother replacing shocks mate, by the time youve bought shocks and springs its cheaper to buy coilovers!

i ran 60mm on mine for long enough with no damage atall.

Yet again changed my mind.
Thinking of getting 60mm springs, but using them on standard shocks. I have done a bit of reading on the subject and it seems half of the people say the shocks will self-destruct in a couple of days and the other half saying they have had the springs on standard shocks for a couple of years and they have been absolutely fine.
I don't know who to believe.... I doubt this post will help either seeing as the replies will probably be 50% saying don't do it and the other 50% saying that it is fine. If only there could be a definitive answer....

Just get springs, if shocks go, go scrappy.
