Lowering problems.

Hi all, im trying to get my clio lowered however the garage say the tortion bar is too fucked to do. Is there anyway of getting round this, like can i get new tortion bars or not and if so dus anyone no how much theyr likely to cost?? how far do people reccomend lowering if i do get it done on 15's?? cheers for any advice.

Most garages won't touch torsion bars, especialy lowering them, for reasons just like this..


Your best bet is a renault breakers yard and get the whole rear beam. Give that to the garage and ask them to fit it and lower it at the same time.. its easier getting the siezed parts out ona bench than it is in situ.

As above really, i did a rear beam on mines and uprated it to a disc one whilist i was at it.

I would recomend a drop of 40-50mm with the front matching if poss.
