lowering steering wheel?

Hi,

Having dropped my seat to a proper height with Jon Foz's excellent seatframes, i need to drop my wheel aswell.
I have dropped it about 1cm by putting washers on the bolts that hold the wheel up, but I need more and can't get it by using more washers as due to the angle the bolt(even a longer one) won't fit.
anybody solve this?

I just used some spacers on the front 2 bolts to lower mine mate. Obviously used longer bolts as well.

How did you get the bolts to line up?
Elongate the holes?
Tried longer bolts but couldn't get them to line up. ( is that why the oem bolts are tapered?)

I can't remember now tbh mate, but it certainly wasn't a struggle to get them in. Rather than elongating the holes you could just enlarge them?

I did mine last night, been on my todo list for some time, put 4mm spacers inbetween the column and the frame and just used slightly longer M8 bolts

I did this mod a couple of years ago..pretty sure I used 100mm m8 bolts, didn't have to elongate holes either and I only changed the front two bolts.
