Lumpy idle - 54 plate Clio 182

  Clio 182
Hey guys. I have a 54 plate 182, just on 70k miles now, has the rs tuner 98ron map, scorpion cat back, k&n cone filter. Its started being really lumpy on idle, even after a full service including oil, oil filter, plugs, leads, and a new lambda sensor (rs tuner found o2 sensor fault code). Even after al this its still lumpy, but is showing no fault codes at all. Any ideas what it could be ? All i can think of is get the k&n off asap, leave the battery off for 10 mins or so, connect it back up, and let it sort itself out on idle ?

appreciate any help
thanks
Mike

Pretty bad really mate, (its always been a lumpy idle as you say its normal on these) but whereas when it was first remapped it was nicely sat a 1000rpm, smooth as anything, it now starts at 900, and jumps almost up to 2000, then back down again, before eventually settling at 1000, and then just idles lumpy at that engine speed. Id be suprised if they are meant to idle as irractically as this ? Sorry about the spacing in the text !! - its not me, its the crappy internet at work.

Rs tuner it lol
Sold the RS Tuner immediately after use Dan lol. It was showing no other faults than the o2 sensor though. My mechanic who changed the lambda sensor and HT leads yesterday put a diagnostic machine on it yesterday and its not showing any faults at all :s

No mate, the revs shoot up as you come to a stop, clutch & brake pedals depressing/depressed. Then it settles again

As above - isn't the icv built into the throttle body on these ? In other words you have to clean/replace the whole unit not just the icv? :(

Yeah think so mate. Might be worth asking renparts on here to see if they have one and describe the symptoms to them, Josh is a helpful guy.

ICV is built into the throttle body on the ph2's. Have you checked its not caped in crap inside the Throttle body?

Cheers Dan and Martin, ill have a look and see if it can be cleaned up at all. If not ill speak to renparts as you say and see about a replacement

thanks again

Mike
